ABSTRACT
With the upcoming new technologies in the area of biomechanics, wireless motion sensors have been developed and the Xsens® MVN BIOMECH (Xsens Technologies BV, Enschede, Netherlands) is an example. This system is a full body inertial kinematic measurement system, incorporating synchronized video data. It is based on Microelectromechanical Systems (MEMS) inertial sensors, biomechanical models and sensor fusion algorithms (Roetenberg et al. 2009).
