ABSTRACT

Rapid industrialization has resulted in rising up of chemical industries for manufacturing a variety of chemicals to fulfill the demands of public. The high growth of chemical industries, both manufacturer and user industries lead to pollution of, air, water and soil environment. The industries responsible for environmental pollution include petrochemical industries, oil refineries, distileries and the units manufacturing chemicals like pesticides, explosives and detonators, dyes and paints, detergents and soaps and such other chemicals. These industries cause environmental pollution due to high volume of their effluents and the residual chemicals appearing in these effluents.
