ABSTRACT
When investigating the development history of the reutilization of buildings, two clear lines can be seen, one is functional and practical reutilization mainly aimed at economy, and the other is that to protect the heritage for the main purpose of continuation of historic culture. At the beginning, the two methods of reutilization were not closely connected in practice, but with social development and improvement of architecture, the two lines gradually combined, that is not only to seek the economic value of reutilization, but also to protect the historic culture borne by the old buildings, and to achieve the integration of social benefit, environmental benefit and economic benefit.
