ABSTRACT
Shaixiping landslide was located in Cangxi county, Sichuan province (Fig. 1). Since 2005, the landslide began to deform and suffered several times of heavy rain, then landslide broke out, which was 125 min length and 150 min width, covering an area of 1.9 × 104 m2 with a volume of 7.5 × 104 m3. The landslide had seriously affected people’s lives, property and infrastructure. Based on field survey and experiment, the characteristics, genetic mechanism and stability of the landslide were analyzed in this study, and relevant engineering treatments were put forward.
