Improved detectors, new electrooptical devices, and vastly improved computational power for data analysis have fueled interest in combining biology and spectroscopy. is chapter will cover three aspects of biomedical imaging spectroscopy:
1. Data acquisition: What instruments are available for acquiring an image cube, and what are the performance trade-os involved in choosing one over the other?
