ABSTRACT
INTRODUCTION In this chapter, we consider the causes and consequences of these four wrist and hand conditions, followed by guidance for suitable management. There are numerous conditions that affect the wrist and hand that may be amenable to surgical intervention, but these have been chosen not only because they are commonly encountered, but also because correct management can have a significant influence on future hand function. Details of actual treatments can be found in Chapter 22.
