ABSTRACT

Time series data falls in the class of contextual data representations. Many kinds of data such as time series data, discrete sequences, and spatial data fall in this class. Contextual data contain two kinds of attributes:

• Contextual Attribute: For the case of time-series data, this corresponds to the time dimension. The time dimension provides the reference points at which the behavioral values are measured. The timestamps could correspond to actual time values at which the data points are measured, or they could correspond to indices at which these values are measured.
