ABSTRACT

In May 2011, Lorca (Murcia-Spain) suffered two earthquakes that affected its architectural heritage. The actions financed by the Ministry of Development (“1% Cultural” Programme) that were carried out for the recovery of Lorca heritage include the restoration of the Rojano Tower and part of the Islamic defensive wall of the first historic enclosure of this city. These are rammed earth constructions of the 12th Century, Almohad period, which were reinforced with masonry in the 14th century, Christian period.
