ABSTRACT

Generally, building boards and panels are planar building elements characterized by a main direction of load action: for thinner boards load action is typically perpendicular to their plane while for thicker slab-like panels load action is in direction of their plane. The Lehmbau Regeln [DVL 2009] defines clay panels as panel-shaped building materials that, depending on their thicknesses, can be laid like masonry or used as dry lining boards.
