ABSTRACT
A comparison was made of the two reinforcement solutions taking into account weight, cost, energy and CO2 emission for a hypothetical floor structure. The features of this hypothetical structure are the sum of average characteristics of real structures encountered in the numerous buildings surveyed by the authors during their work in the field of restoration, specifically in the Valencian Community (Figs. 1A, 1D).
