ABSTRACT

The major contribution of this paper is to propose a designing method of an adaptive threshold BIT that can accommodate to operation condition changes, which is seldom considered in pervious works. The adaptive BIT aims at identifying real hard faults from environmental changes, and thus reduce false alarm rate. To achieve this, the hardware designing approach of capturing signal changing speed is presented to distinguish an environmental change from a hard fault. The BIT can automatically adjust its threshold following the direction of the signals under test.
