ABSTRACT

An aggravating factor in the analysis of the consequences and probabilities of failure is due to the great diversity of other forms of urban infrastructure that interact and interconnect with or are in the vicinity of the underground power grid. Interference from these may cause undesirable events such as accidents and disruptions. There are several factors that interfere with the safety and reliability of these systems amongst which are environmental conditions, technical matters, human errors, thirdparties’ actions, sabotage, terrorism, etc.
