ABSTRACT
The main objective of the paper is to present the methodical approach applied for evaluation of safety barriers in rig move operations. The methodology should focus on work laid down by oil companies in preventing major accidents and serious incidents associated with rig move operations. Hence, the approach should support work processes aimed at identifying and strengthening the most important safety barriers in this area of marine operations. The important questions are:
– What are the main barriers against incidents and major accidents in rig move operations?
