ABSTRACT

The top of the pyramid is the most challenging for some. In reality, courage is the mortar of the whole pyramid. It takes courage to enhance the width and depth of each pyramid layer. The course and extent of a project leader’s professional growth should be consistent with her state in life and commensurate with her risk attitudes. Emotions, behaviors, and attitudes are habits learned early in life. Stepping out of one’s old self can be difficult, particularly when projects have their usual amount of politics and conflict.
