ABSTRACT
Issue Social, economic, and environmental hazard models are based on theoretical frameworks, sets of assumptions, and inuenced by interrelated dynamics that can change over time. Users of models must understand the purpose and limitations of hazard models and how they can be used in decision making, public policy, and the development of hazards risk management and hazard mitigation strategies.
