ABSTRACT

In this work, various models were firstly explored for simulations of propeller jets with sliding mesh and multiple reference frame approach. These models were employed for simulations of different scenarios of propeller rotating speed, rudder position, ship hull wakes as well as keel clearance in order to understand the impact of jet flows on sediment transports. Validation and comparison of different models for simulations of propellerrudder interactions were conducted with various rotational speed measured in Revolutions Per Minute (RPM), rudder angle and keel clearance.
