ABSTRACT
To assist in this development, this study has sought to look into the requirements for an arctic evacuation system applicable for operation in the Barents Sea. Critical scenarios and hazardous conditions will be evaluated with the intent of determining areas of importance for the design of such a system, where current concept will be evaluated and weighed in accordance to their compliance with these specifications. The study will be based on environmental criteria for a single location in the Barents Sea, respectively North East of Bjørnøya at coordinates N75°00′00″ E25°00′00′.
