ABSTRACT
It is considered (Stavrogin & Protosyenya 1979, 1992 & Glushko 1982), that dilatancy which represents a volume increase of a tested specimen at rock fracture, is related to microcracks initiation in rock. It is important to study this phenomenon, since this is the reason of rock displacement in the outer boundary of mine workings.
