ABSTRACT
Depletion of industrial coal reserves in Old Donbass requires extended use of coal of other regions including the one of Losovskoi coal area. Problem of their efficient industrial use is of high importance nowadays. The technology of advanced complex processing that have replaced coal combustion in furnaces requires more detailed coal petrographic study of coals with finding out their genetic peculiarities that are taken into account while developing raw material base for chemical coal conversion. Such studies have not only practical but also theoretical importance (Resources of hard fuel of Ukraine 01.01.2001).
