ABSTRACT
The rational use of natural resources and landscape preservation at increasing building material production is a great challenge. Rational land use and environmental protection is topical task for the Crimean peninsula. About 5% of prospected limestone rocks used for building in Ukraine is concentrated there. The combined underground extraction method is developed for limestone mining in Crimea. This method has to ensure minimum of building stone losses and long-time stability of excavations. The mined-out space is supposed to be used for industrial objects later.
