ABSTRACT
Bio-based resources are renewable, widely distributed, available locally, moldable, recyclable, easily available in many forms, biodegradable, combustible, and reactive. Bio-based fibers have high aspect ratios, high strength-to-weight ratios, are relatively low in energy conversion, and have good sound and thermal insulation properties.1-5 The fiber structure is hollow and laminated with molecular layers and an integrated matrix.
