ABSTRACT

Although the vibration monitoring has been activated to bridge health monitoring method conventionally, there remains environmental effect or problems such as temperature. To develop a precise health diagnosis system by using the vibration monitoring, temperature effect should be removed from the estimated natural-frequencies. In this study, the authors focused on ascertainment of the fundamental relation between the change of natural-frequencies and temperature. The results of change of natural-frequencies obtained by field measurement and 3D FE simulation with consideration of temperature change were showed. Also, simulation in case the occurrence of remarkable one side solar radiation was conducted to inspect out-of-plane temperature effect, additionally.
