ABSTRACT

Seismic performance of rubber bearing deteriorates depend on the using duration, however, few studies were conducted to verify the aging of rubber bearings. Moreover, the influences of the size of bearing and atmosphere temperature on the site for the aging are focused in recent years. So, this study discusses the evaluation of the aseismic capacity of RC bridges considering with aging. In addition, the relations between aging of rubber bearing and the using duration or the temperature on the site are also considered in the evaluation. In the numeric calculation, 5 span continuous bridge was modeled as the framed structure by FEM. The results of the analysis derived that the size of rubber bearing and the average temperature affect the aging and the seismic performance.
