ABSTRACT
Constructing high-quality lining concrete for mountain tunnels is an important factor of increasing the service life of the tunnel. For quality improvement, technologies have been developed and applied in Japan in relation to materials, concrete placement and curing. This paper presents some of the technologies and describes their effect on the extension of service lives of tunnels.
