Patients are becoming better educated and more aware of different treatment options for skin rejuvenation through the Internet. However, the seemingly endless variety of claims in advertisements sponsored by product and device companies can confuse patients. is most likely arises from the dierent perceptions among professionals of the meaning of “skin rejuvenation.” To many physicians, skin rejuvenation indicates performance of a procedure. To cosmeceutical companies, it implies use of their anti-aging topical products, and to laser and device manufacturers, it implies treatment with one of their own devices.
