A network is collection of entities connected to each other forming a topological structure. The entities can be a personal computer, mobile device, etc. The aim of providing a topological structure to the network is to maintain a path of communication and give direction peer-to-peer communication. A network can be broadly classified as local area network (LAN), metropolitan area network (MAN), and wide area network (WAN).
