ABSTRACT

Herein, we report on a systematic study of a series of Bismuth doped Li-rich layered metal oxides Li[Li0.111 Ni0.267Co0.133Mn0.489-xBix]O2 (x = 0, 0.01, 0.05, and 0.1). The crystal structure, morphology, and electrochemical performance of the doped metal oxides are investigated using XRD, SEM and galvanostatic charge-discharge tests. It was found that the cyclic performance and rate capability of the material deteriorated with increasing amount of Bi doping, assumedly due to worsening structural stability.
