ABSTRACT
In contrast to the previous chapters, the intention of the authors is lying on the material’s absorption and absorption changes upon UV/DUV/VUV laser irradiation as part of the functional damage, that is, the undesired change of optical parameters or specications. e prominently applied crystalline materials nowadays are of very high purity and therefore, the absorption is very low, even down to the VUV spectral region.
