ABSTRACT
Mobile health (mHealth) refers to the overlapping €elds between mobile technology and health care. It has evolved from electronic health (eHealth) centered on the application of smartphones. Besides the technologies revolving around mHealth, there are anumber of verticals associated with mHealth and this book takes amultidisciplinary approach coveringanumber of these verticals. The goal of this book is to capture emerging and diverse mHealth applications under a single umbrella. These applications and technologies are linked to key market indicators, vendor players, and interdependencies and synergies between relevant stakeholders, which derive the research forces behind mHealth.
