ABSTRACT

Mineral resources is defined as a concentration or occurrence of natural, solid, inorganic or fossilized organic material in or on the earth’s crust in such form, and quantity and of such a grade or quality that it has reasonable prospects for economic extraction. There are a great number of mineral resources have been verified in China, and a fairly complete system for the supply of mineral products has been established, which provide an important guarantee for the sustained, rapid and healthy development of the Chinese economy. According to some statistics, the oil production reached 210 million tons, the gas production is about 105 billion cubic meters, the coal breakthrough 3.5 billion tons, and iron ore production is more than 1.3 billion tons, the ten main non-ferrous metal production is about 34 million tons at the end of 2011[1].
