1 INTRODUCTION

Along with the rapid development of social economy and the people’s living standards, more and more vehicles enter the personal families; according to the statistics, amounts of vehicles in China reached 137 million in 2013. In order to effectively solve the problem of parking that takes up land, the underground parking area has been developed gradually, it becomes an appositive measure that regulate the contradiction between the increase of vehicles and the shortage of parking land. At the same time, the frequency of fire accidents in the underground parking lot is also increasing year by year, because of the underground parking area’s special structure and the factors that create fires far more than the surface parking lot. Furthermore, the fire often causes huge economic loss. Therefore it is very necessary to assess the fire risk of the underground parking area effectively and reduce the frequency of fire accidents.
