Hybrid ring coupler with arbitrary power division using phase inverters

Division (3 dB) at 5 GHz yields a bandwidth of 4:1 with 15 dB return loss. In [8], a novel reverse-phase hybrid ring coupler’s bandwidth was enhanced 28% with 20 dB return loss. However, the losses these hybrids in [7]–[9] with CPW or slot line are higher than those of the microstrip hybrid.
