ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Archaeological activity aimed at the valorisation of the Iberian oppidum of Puente Tablas (Jaén, VII-III. BC) has been undertaken since 2005. The archaeological excavations of 2011 and 2013 on the palace, the main gate and the sanctuary were especially relevant. A range of analytical strategies aimed at the analysis of physico-chemical markers (MRS, XRD, EDXRF, GC-MS, HPLC-MS) have been implemented in the framework of the plan for research, conservation and valorisation of this oppidum. These strategies supply information on lesser-known aspects such as contents in ceramic vessels, decorations and raw materials.
