ABSTRACT
Researchers have developed and implemented superhydrophobic surfaces, by mimicking biology or nature, in a variety of smart ways. Plasma processing is reported to be a clean and efficient technique for this surface fabrication. This chapter provides the overview of the recent progress to develop superhydrophobic surfaces by the utilisation of plasma. The discussion focusses on three main strategies to generate superhydrophobic surfaces by plasma processing and how they have developed over the years. The chapter will be useful to students and companies interested in the creation and modification of superhydrophobic surfaces.
