Percutaneous therapy for mitral regurgitation (MR) has been dened by leaet repair with the MitraClip for the last several years.1 is device has been utilized to treat the largest number of patients among the various catheter therapies for MR. e details of this approach are presented in Chapter 40. e degree to which all of the remaining therapy devices lag behind MitraClip leaet repair reects the complexities and challenges of both the treatment approaches and the disease itself.
