ABSTRACT

Polymer films basing on ultra dispersed low-density polyethylene powder modified by the natural polysaccharide, chitosan have been obtained under the combined effect of high pressure and shear deformation. Their water-absorbent capacity and biodegradability are estimated

2.1 INTRODUCTION

The problem of biodegradability of well-known tonnage industrial polymers is quite urgent for modern studies. It is promising enough to use synthetic and natural polymer mixtures, which can play the roles of both filler and modifier for creating biodegradable environmentally safe polymer materials. The macromolecule fragmentation of the synthetic polymer is to be provided for due to its own biodestruction.
