ABSTRACT
Antineoplastic or cytostatics drugs are a heterogeneous group of chemicals widely used in the treatment of cancer and in some non-neoplasic diseases, having in common an ability to inhibit tumour growth by disrupting cell division and killing actively growing cells. These drugs have nevertheless been proved to be also mutagens, carcinogens and teratogens (Gulten, 2011).
