ABSTRACT
Environmental advantages of rammed earth as a construction material are recyclability and low energy demands of manufacturing which leads to lower embodied energy and emissions.
The hygroscopic properties of clay allow effectively absorb and release moisture and makes earth an ideal material to moderate the indoor microclimate from the point of view of RH. Jokl (1991) states that long-term stabilization of relative humidity influences positively occupant’s health.
