ABSTRACT
A A 52-year-old woman complains of being ‘out of sorts’ for almost 3 months. During this time she has felt unduly short of breath in doing her daily household work and going up one flight of stairs. Her haemoglobin is 8.6 g/dL, and her general practitioner (GP) felt a vague mass in the right iliac fossa.
