ABSTRACT

With the popularity of computers, more and more people use computers to get and process the information from visual images. Human naturally have a perfect, powerful visual system which is capable of processing, analyzing and understanding the various visual information. But no autonomous visual system, whose performance achieves it, has been built until now. One important reason is: the visual systems of higher organisms can easily complete the tasks about extremely complex segmentation, and segmentation technology of the machine is difficult to achieve similar speed and accuracy. Therefore, the study of fast and efficient image segmentation technique has become one of the key parts to promote the development of machine vision technology.
