ABSTRACT
Jiaozuo coalfield is most typical for north China type coal field, is also famous for its large water inflow, it has very complex hydrogeological conditions. Guhanshan coal mine is located in northeast of Jiaozuo city, under the jurisdiction of Xiuwu County, the mine strata from the new to the old are Quaternary, and Neogene, Shiqianfeng, Pingdingshan, Shihezi, Shanxi formation of Permian, Shanxi, Benxi, Taiyuan formation of Carboniferous-Permian and Majiagou formation of Ordovician. The NO. 2 coal seam in Shanxi formation is the main minable coal seam that needs slice mining because of the gas.
