ABSTRACT

Exhaust is gone out from the vent tube of the engine to heat the coolant through the heat exchanger flowing from the water pump housing to the muffler, an exhaust drive turbine fan to be rotating, then to drive pump rotation, Magnetic floating bearings are installed between the pump driven shaft and the pump, its rotation resistance is very small, so the engine’s vent back pressure can be reduced to an acceptable level, back pressure is close to the turbocharged engine, hot coolant flow through valve into the radiator under the pressure of pump, the radiator can be settled down in the cab or other places that need to be warmed up coolant flow through the radiator, its heat is emitted out by the radiator, the result is to warm up

1 TECHNICAL BACKGROUND OF AUTOMOBILE EXHAUST HEATER

In the winter, the driver is mainly concern about the warmth of car, as it is nearly subzero 20 degrees, cab’s temperature will be particularly important, Current warm-up is achieved by the heat passing from the engine to the cab through the radiator, engine heating system can not effectively provide heat to a cab. The winter temperature is so low that the driver and passengers feel very cold. Under this cold condition, a long time driving operation will possibly create traffic accident, especially bitterly cold winter in Northeast, China, a car is parked outside at minus 30 degrees, which need a heating device of high calorie to warm up cab, but current heating device often use cooling water as a heat source, when a car is in low temperature environment, cooling water’s temperature is very low to supply limit heats. There are also some car using exhaust as heating device to warm up the cab, but its structure & control are very complex, but less application.
