1 INTRODUCTION

Because of changes in life style, education and its social environments, freshmen often meet with all kinds of adaptive problems and disorders. On entering university, psychological survey should be done among freshmen, and students who were screened out from it were interviewed in a single method. That is, they were usually invited to counseling face to face. This method has two shortcomings, one is that the students who are invited have a doubt that they have psychological problems; the other is that only a small proportion of students with mental health problems can be treated effectively in this way. In addition, group counseling is mostly designed for interpersonal relationship problems, so that other psychological problems cannot be treated effectively. In order to overcome these defects, we use group counseling and design group activities according to psychological counseling theories to help the students.
