Improvement of seismic performance of the Toyosato Bridge with base isolation and response control

ABSTRACT: The Toyosato Bridge is a three-span continuous steel cable-stayed bridge with a main span of 216 m (Figure 1) crossing theYodo River which flows in the northern region of Osaka City. The bridge was constructed in 1970, after that installation of unseating prevention system against bearing failure was executed.
