ABSTRACT

ABSTRACT: Tidal harmonics of 4 principal constituents (M2, S2, K1, O1) derived from 266 GLOSS tide stations and 31 tidal gauge stations in the China sea are used to access the accuracy of 5 global ocean tidal models (NAO.99b, DTU10, FES2004, GOT00.2 and TPXO7.2) around the word. It turns out that DTU10 has the highest accuracy around the world. Global ocean tide models get the worst practicability in the China sea, having larger deviation with the tidal gauge station. GOT00.2 and NAO.99b are relatively better in the China sea.
