ABSTRACT

Frazer-Nash has conducted research into how cultural and societal (C&S) factors affect the volatility of human behaviour. The challenge was to develop a cultural training template for people entering unstable environments, regions and establishments. Different C&S factors were researched to determine their effect on instrumental and hostile human conflict behaviour, and whether they increased the probability of it occurring. The training template includes a series of ‘cultural maps’, which present various C&S influencers that both pre-dispose people to conflict, and act as ‘triggers’ for violence and aggression.
