ABSTRACT
The hardware structure of this charger specially designed for ultracapacitors consists of three subsystems which are main charging circuit, control circuit of charging and output module for display and alarm. The first subsystem called main charging circuit includes three-phase bridge rectification circuit, filter circuitfull-bridge converter circuit using IGBT, high frequency transformer and output rectification and filter circuit. The second subsystem called control circuit of charging is made up of single chip PIC18F4580 as control unit, data acquisition circuit, protection circuit, IGBT drive circuit, communication interface circuit and manmachine interaction circuit. The system structure block diagram is available in Figure 1.
