In this work, the Models of the diesel, synchronous generator, and ship load are developed and integrated into the ship power system simulation system. There are the diesel rotation speed controlling subsystem and generator excitation device

2.1 Synchronous generator model

The model of the synchronous generator is composed of the electromechanical transient process and the electromagnetic transient process. The electromechanical transient process is described by the rotor motion of the generator (Bo 2004):

where: TJ is the inertia time constant of the generator; Pe is the electromagnetic torque of the generator; PD is the damping torque of the generator; δ is the power angle of the generator.
