ABSTRACT
The nominal flow rate Q0 and pump head H0 of the axial-flow pump considered are 1000 m3/h and 5.8 m, respectively. Under nominal conditions, the impeller rotates at a rotational speed of 1450 r/min. The outlet diameter of the impeller is 300 mm and the blade number is 4. Three stators with 5, 7 and 9 vanes were designed with streamline method to match the same impeller. Based on geometrical parameters of the hydraulic components involved, a computational domain is established. A sectional view of the pump with the 7-vane stator is shown in Figure 1.
