ABSTRACT
Before analyzing the stability and security of the wind farm connected power grid, it’s necessary to establish an appropriate model of the wind turbine. The Power System Analysis Software Package (PSASP), popular in China, is convenient for analyzing the power grid security and safety. What’s important, it has a plat called UD for users defining their own models. So it becomes feasible to develop a reasonable electro-mechanical transient model of wind turbine using PSASP UD plat.
